• The International Four Freedoms Award went to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
• The organization Al Jazeera received the Freedom of Speech Award.
• The Freedom of Worship Award was received by His All Holiness Archbishop Bartholomew I.
• The Freedom from Want award went to Ela Ramesh Bhatt.
• Hussain al-Shahristani won the Freedom from Fear Award.
