Four Freedoms of today
Last Friday Anne Roosevelt, the granddaughter of former president Franklin D. Roosevelt, opened the exhibition 'Four Freedoms of today'. She also announced the names of the winners.
At the beginning of this year, students from University College Roosevelt gave lectures about Roosevelt and the Four Freedoms at various schools in Zeeland. The students were then asked to make a contemporary image of one of the Four Freedoms. Twelve works were selected from the 133 entries. The 1st prize of the jury went to Marloes Brummans. Her work also received the most votes from the public at the Liberation Festival.
Fancy a walk through the center of Middelburg along the Four Freedoms? The exhibition can be viewed until January 8.
