More about CNN
Ted Turner founded CNN as the founder of the United Nations Foundation. The large team of excellent journalists and a large network of correspondents made CNN great. Today, the team consists of over four thousand employees. Since 1980, CNN has become a household name in the media landscape. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide follow the 24-hour news. They do so through cable and satellite channels, websites, radio stations and out-of-home networks.
The purpose of CNN, as Turner saw it, was neutral news, with no direct fellow or detractors. For this reason, CNN has received many reproaches. For instance, it was said to be too much influenced by governments and too American. This is why CNN set up a regional network, to increase interest from the rest of the world.
