Young people in conversation with laureates
After the Four Freedoms Awards ceremony 2022, the Four Freedoms Meet-up took place in the Nieuwe Kerk. There were 200 mainly young people in the room who could ask questions to the award winners. Present at the Meet-up was football player and activist for peace Evegeniy Levchenko. He spoke with Tsikhanouskaya about the war in Ukraine and the role of neighboring Belarus in the conflict.
About the Meet-up
The Meet-up took place for the first time in 2021 and is the result of an intensive collaboration between the Roosevelt Foundation and Vrijheidscolleges. Together we inspire young and old to reflect on the value of the Four Freedoms and the ideas of the Roosevelts. In addition to the Meet-up, Vrijheidscolleges also organize programs and lectures about freedom at liberation festivals, schools and at various other locations in the country.
